I purchased this for a program I help support at my Church. We needed something to convert high resolution HDMI from our video camera to a resolution that could be displayed on VGA video projectors and VGA monitors. We had purchased two devices from other vendors that gave no flexibility on VGA output resolution selection. Lack of experience on our part in realizing this was critical in some situations caused us not to realize our mistake in our initial purchases. The SB-2833 gave us the flexibility we needed to get the highest VGA resolution possible at a very reasonable price. We had absolutely no issues with this converter - it worked exactly as documented. The vendor as also great as they were quick to get this item shipped out.

We have only used the unit twice so I cannot comment on long term durability of this device. The converter box unit and power connections seem reasonably rugged in appearance!

Easy to set up, the digital cinema auto calibration worked well although it told me my right front speaker was out of phase even though it's not.

The description lists two HDMI in but there are actually three. I used one port for my PVR and the standard definition channels look better now. My old receiver didn't have a port for digital audio in so watching broadcasts in 5.1 surround is a big plus.

The remote is huge. I just tossed it back in the box and set up my Harmony 550 to take care of the most used functions.

For $499.99, this a great deal on a 7.1 surround receiver with 3 HDMI in's and 700+ watts of power.

I ordered these headphones after my last pair of ear buds (Sennheiser CX400) took an unfortunate trip into a puddle. I spent hours researching what I should spend my money on and finally decided on these. I couldn't be happier!
The bass response is spot on with a rich warm sound, the mid is lovely and balanced, and the highs ring out and are as crisp and clear as anything I've ever heard! The staging is amazing also, you can feel like you're actually there listening to the song or inside the movie!
The fit and finish of these are amazing also. I feel like I'm not even wearing them half the time! I don't get the ear fatigue that I get from my Sony over the ear phones or from the CX400's. The cable feels smooth and strong and the actual housings are built like tanks.
All in all, these are the best headphones you can possibly get for this amount.

This displays in D1 which is a high resolution, but only records video in CIF which is pretty low resolution. So your cameras will look great live since they will display in D1, but recorded video will be of lesser quality because it was recorded at the lower resolution CIF. Not very good if you want quality recordings. I would hardly call this DVR "Professional"

iON AIR PRO Full HD Sports Action Camcorder + iON Mount Pack + 16GB (10) Card + Card Reader + Mono Pod + Cleaning Cloth Review

I like this camera a lot. I think it takes video that's very close to as good as my GoPro Hero 2.

I like:

1. That it is waterproof without a separate case.

2. The operation - slide the switch forward, it starts recording, slide it back, it stops.

3. Has a 1/4"-20 tripod hole so I don't need to use any of the mounts it came with! Can use all my RAM Mounts. LOVE THIS!

4. Audio is acceptable, but muffled quite a bit, but at least it doesn't have the horrific wind noise of the JVC Addiction and Drift Innovation which are terrible.

I don't like:

1. Orientation Sensor - If I enable automatic rotation and I turn the camera on while riding my bike, sometimes the video orientation is correct, sometimes it's sideways like when you take video with your iphone holding it vertically instead of horizontally. It's rarely upside down (if ever), but since I usually start recording while I'm already riding along, this needed to be disabled.

2. Micro-SD cards - just too small, too easy to lose.

3. Can't replace the battery. It's fixed inside there somewhere.

4. You need a PC to change settings.

5. I can't get the Mac software to run on my iMac so have to resort to my PC to change settings.

I've seen reviews for the iON Air Pro 2 which looks like a big improvement over this camera and I think it will be my next action camera! Check it out:
