Whilst designed to record radio programs I think it is a great music jukebox for work. So most people have an iPod and iTunes full of MP3 music. I bought a 32 gig SD card and just load it up with music as needed. I leave the radio at work and just let it play on random and enjoy my music all day in a convenient desk top radio. It never gets stolen like an iPod would sitting out as it really just looks like a radio. The sound is good for a compact unit with decent bass response and overall balanced tone. I mean it will not rattle the windows but you can hear the bass parts of the music reasonably well. Reception is good on both AM and FM even in my work building that caused issues for other radios I have tried. Overall the unit is well designed, easy to use, and makes a great portable MP3 audio system for work or the patio.
