This BestDuplicator is a professional SATA DVD/CD Duplicator that offers optical disc burning technology. It's Compatible for any purpose that allows disc duplication(excludes copying protected discs/movies). The user friendly LCD interface provides a simple one step copy function that burns your DVD blank discs at an optimal speed producing 1 15 (depends on your # of Targets on your duplicator) copies every burn cycle. -----My Quick Product Observations-----

Pros:
(1) I purchased this item on Tuesday June 11 and it arrived on Thursday June 13. Fast shipping via UPS!
(2) Overall apparent robust build quality.
(3) Speed! - I have burned full DVD-R's at 16x in under 6 minutes!
(4) Ease of Use - To be fair, I've used an older 1 to 7 target DVD duplicator that we bought on Ebay around 2002 or so for about $2,500. (Glad to see prices have come down substantially!) Nonetheless, the included instruction book is pretty detailed and should get most up and running quickly. I hope this one lasts as long as that one!

Cons:
(1) Noise - this thing is very noisy. I only list it as a con because it's just something to be aware of. Don't be trying to use this near a bedroom or anything. Just note that, they are all noisy. This is not specific to this device, but more of something to note, no matter which one you get.

Other:
(1) When you get the device, there is a sheet included which lists the Brands of media to use when duplicating. I don't use any of the listed ones. Instead I use JVC Taiyo Yuden DVD-R 16X White Inkjet Printable DVDs. Absolutely love these and their higher end "Water Shield" ones with glossy surface finish.
(2) I had a 500GB Hard Drive added to mine. This will store a ton of ISO images. I read a few places that having the Hard Drive allows for faster duplicating. Sounded good to me and it was a reasonably priced add on so I did it. As noted above, burning a full set of 5 DVD's in under 6 minutes is sweet.

So far I've burned almost 400 of the 16x JVC Watershield discs I mentioned in my original review and have had ZERO failures. It's still holding up great!

As noted in the comments section here, there may besome confusion on PRINTING it seems.

This duplicator DOES NOT print on DVDs. It only duplicates them. Printing is a separate process and can either be done my way (using inkjet printable DVDs and an Epson Artisan 835 printer - one at a time) OR you can check out NEATO and use their DVD stick on labels and print them in any ink jet printer and then adhere them to the surface. I did that method for almost a decade until I upgraded to the Epson printer in 2010. It looks much more professinal to just print directly onto the JVC Watershield style discs.

There is a third option where you can purchase a bulk DVD printer from Discmakers, or even here on Amazon, but those approach $1,000 for entry models. If you are serious about duplicating then this may be the way to go for you.

But then at that point, when you start looking at ink and maintenance costs, it's almost as cheap and actually easier to simply outsource your bulk runs at that point to a third party house like DiscMakers.
