The convenient and affordable DV6T811N is not only a DVD and VCR player, but it also has built-in MP3 decoding and outputs for both NTSC and PAL video formats, so you can view non-region-encoded media from overseas. A set of left/right analog-audio outputs channels audio to Dolby Pro Logic receivers and stereo televisions. VCR features include DVD one-touch recording (for non-region-encoded discs) and one-touch timer recording (OTR) for capturing your favorite TV shows. I've had an apex1500 (love it), and various VHS machines.
I wanted a machine that would play VHS, VCD, SVCD, DVD-R, and mp3s. This machine does all reasonably well. The picture quality
is good, not as great as sony or apex, but close. There are
occasional black square flashs on some disks, but nothing
annoying. I'd rate this a full 5, but the mp3 playback only
shows short (useless) filenames on the screen, which means
you have to label your disks, and remember whats on them
rather than read the screen. There is a macrovision and region
free option at vcdhelp.com.You can't touch any dual deck that does all these formats

We'd owned our old answering machine/cordless phone for ten years or so, and it was becoming difficult to hear what people were saying (even others who used our phone commented upon this). All I expected was to be able to replace what we had with something new. For about what we paid for the old one, we now have three phones around the house (plus a corded phone). The base has a 50-number directory which is easy to program and search. The sound quality is fine. The operable distance is greater than our previous phone (goes to the edges of our city lot). We're REALLY happy with this 3-phone system.

Promaster 7500EDF Digital Flash - Pentax Review

Got this for my k200d cause I needed af assist at certain times. Upgraded to k-7 and ttl doesn't work. I usually shoot with flash in manual but paying this much I would like the TTL option to work. Not sure when they will fix this or how. Excellent features besides that but it is big, bulk and heavy.

Onkyo TX-SR506 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver (Black) Review

This receiver is pretty impressive on paper and visually by oogling at all the ports on the back. The biggest thing to note, I believe, is that the 3 HDMI inputs are "pass-through" and do not extract audio and play it through the speakers connected to the receiver! (the audio will only go to the TV!)

You NEED a secondary cable for audio (for each HDMI input!) and then you must configure the receiver to pair the corresponding HDMI input with the audio source. For example, if I have my Xbox 360 connected via HDMI, it is total FAIL because the optical audio connector for Xbox only exists on the component out... so I must use the component output for the Xbox instead, and pair it with a TOSLINK optical cable setup on the receiver.

While being an excellent receiver for the price, this single ridiculous gotcha makes the technology of HDMI near totally moot and could lead to some annoying workarounds as I have done for my home theater.

Now the chart is easy to navigate, and I am certain as to which way the craft is heading. It's worth owning. An external antenna is the only way to go.

Mounting is simple I secured mine to the rear deck behind my seat. Mounting is not critical, as the satellites are able to see the antenna from several hundred miles above you....It's not like they can't see over your shoulder.
