The ALZO Bod-A-Boom camera harness is a fully adjustable hands-free support device for all light camcorders and DSLRs. Ideal for field work that includes long hours of holding up a video camera or DSLR camera. This camera harness distributes the load mostly to your waist (when properly adjusted) so you can work long hours without straining you arms or your back. The ALZO BOD-A-BOOM includes an ALZO Ball Mount camera support with secure camera quick release. This allows for Dutch tilts and any camera angle desired. The push button quick tilt adjustable boom allows for getting the camera to your eye or away from the body for interesting up angle shots.

After being involved with A/V productions for over 40 years....I have used many products. I own several cameras (video and DSLR).
I received this product and mounted a Canon 60D, a small video camera and a Canon XL2 with full set up(light ,wireless receiver, etc). The unit was comfortable and handled all very well. It becomes a slight challenge to mount a larger camera because the camera is mounted in the middle and the eye piece is off center. The construction is very stable and well made. No--- this is not equal to a [steady cam] vest. I use mine mostly for Video on my Canon 60D with lighting, external mic and in-ear monitoring mixer and all mounted on the harness boom.
Keep in mind....this unit must be mounted over the shoulders and strapped around the waist. If one is to do a lot of running, climbing, chasing with a full camera set up....Breathing can become an issue. Holding a steady shot may be a challenge. It comes
with a swivel ball mount and quick connect. I personally wish the quick connect was a little deeper for a better lock down
I find this product a very good unit and I am glad I got it. If used properly...this camera mount can last for years.
