I recently bought this Sony Walkman E365 at a very reasonable price. I was retiring another player whose controls were impossible to manage, and because of the Sony's price I frankly didn't expect much of an improvement.

Boy, was I shocked. This player has the easiest controls to use I have ever seen. I know I may be overemphasizing that aspect of this unit, but I kayak a lot and the ability to make reliable settings with one hand is important.

And the player is first-rate. I simply used the USB connection to load all my media onto this player without using any of the programs that are normally used for this purpose, and the player obediently sorted out what I had loaded.

This player has another nice feature for someone like me who loads media directly -- it allows you to browse your media by folder as well as artist, genre, etc. For me, that's important because I have a library of podcasts that normally gets mixed in with my music on most players. On this player, the folder option allows me to access the content just the way I have it organized on my desktop.

What can I say? I've been through a lot of MP3 players over the years that were really disappointing. This one is way better than I expected.

I didn't expect this player to be able to show pictures and videos, but it does. That wasn't my reason for getting it, but it didn't hurt that ti was done so well.

All I can say is, wow.
