The build quality is good as it is with all the Feisol products I've used. There is one major design flaw though. The ported ball. Having holes in the ball in the lock engagement area causes inconsistent friction. The CB-40D doesn't have this problem and is much smoother with even more locking force than the CB-50DC.

I'm really disappointed in the performance. It's not a bad value for the money but the CB-40D is a much better value.
